The most common cause of excessively high speeds is the lack of Segment Overlays. These are used to calculate distance accurately, and without them, incorrect speeds may be reported.
To check whether segment overlays have been created:
- Login to Go.
- Hover over View and select Lists.
- Select the Segments tab.
- There are two options in the Overlay Path column - Add and Edit.
- Add - means that an Overlay Path has not been created for the segment.
- Edit - means that an Overlay Path exists.
If Overlay Paths have not been created, please refer to the setup instructions in the User's Manual. Creating these will likely correct the problem.
If Overlay Paths have not been created and incorrect speeds are being reported, verify that the overlay paths match the segment. Incorrect speeds may be reported if sensors have been moved and the paths haven't been updated, or if they were made incorrectly.
If neither of the above solutions solves the problem, please contact support for help.
